A. GLASS SLIDES:
Glass is a material that has been used for guitar slides since
the very beginning. Nothing beats glass for high-end overtones
and a clean but very emotionally resonant sound. Take your pick
from recycled wine bottle necks to the premium hand-blown glass.

B. PORCELAIN SLIDES
Porcelain is the most flexible medium for making guitar slides.
They can be made in any shape and any surface characteristic,
from rough to silky smooth and from Open End to Dome End. The
latter is handy for tipping and a little extra weight on the
base strings. Porcelain slides generally give a liquid, sweet
and natural sound. |

Porcelain Red
Neck Queen Bee
This is one of Big Heart's most popular designs. The Red
Neck is simply magic! It is created with four layers of
glaze over an ebony porcelain base. The result is
excellent tone and extremely quiet action. |

Porcelain Boney
Finger-Open
This model is the personal favourite of Big Heart Slide
creator, Luther Tatum. Ideally suited for more advanced
slide players who want to experiment with sound and
control, this is an effect slide like no other.
This very special slide was originally created for nylon
string classical guitar. Then he discovered that it can
replicate the sound of raw bone slides used by many of
the early great Blues slide players like Fred McDowell.
The Boney Fingers unique surface gives it an unequalled
dynamic range and a capacity to go from tiger-fierce to
butterfly-gentle like no other slide in the world.
Like a fine Violin bow, they take time to learn to use.
But for the serious player, the Boney Finger can get you
to where you only dreamt of before.

Porcelain Big Heart - Deep
Black
These slides were built for comfort, a flexible sound
and a great fit to any guitar neck. The Heart Shape
gives each side THREE different PLAYING ARCHS - regular,
wide and knife-edge - that allow you to get just the
sound and feel you are looking for. This is a great
model for strong chordal slides and behind-the-slide
playing. |
